Default Ls vtec smoking

whats up guys.. i just rebuilt my ls vtec and its putting out a white smoke and sometimes blue.. i looked in my anti freeze and there is no probs there.. also it doesnt overheat at all.. like if i let the car sit for a while it wont smoke that much but if i take it around 1/4 of a mile it will let of tons of white smoke... also the plugs keep foulding out because its running rich and there is oil mixxed with it sometimes.. how can i tell if the motor needs rings or if it is the headgasket..
?

White smoke its the headgasket. When you have done your ls/vtec, and if you have mill your head, you must cut a little bit your dowel pin or else the head is not gonna seal on your block.

where exactly do you see the smoke rising from is a good question to ask. And if it was rebuilt was the motor broken in properly? and yeah you have to tap the head for lsv, this motor set up is a bit tricky id get a reputable shops opinion and fix it myself make sure you run higher octane and get it retuned after doing ls vtec
