Default LS-VTEC or sleeved and bored B16?

I was thinking of sleeving and boring and possibly stroking my B16 block as an alternative to the LS-Vtec. This would keep the rod to stroke ratrio better for high revving plus I wouldn't have to have external oil feed lines. Has anyone done this? Or is it a stupid alternative(waste of $) Any help would be appreciated.

If you don't wanna work with oil lines then i would just try to get a GSR block. Your R/S is gonna go down but thats what you get for that lil more torque. My friend had a B16A CRX till the thrust washers fell out and destroyed the bottom end so now we're building a GSR for it... The extra torque will be nice. He ran a 13.62@99 on MT 20x6's with his entirely stock b16a which only had an intake and 2.5" exhaust. This should pull some 12's fairly easy too. Have fun. You can work with the b16 but it's a lot easier to get more power with a block that has a 270mm deck.
