Default LS/VTEC questions on oem cams..

im building a lsvtec...motor the head is b17..now my question is...should i keep the b17 cams or should i change them out for a set of 95 gsr cams that i have layen around ? what i really need to know is what kind of power gain will i get it i use thE 95 GSR CAMS

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure that B16/17 cams are identical. That being said, the gsr cams have a bit more lift on the intake side and more duration on both sides than B16/17 cams.

They aren't going to be a huge improvement but if you have them laying around I would suggest throwing them in.

Well, more lift and duration will give you more power. More duration is going to give you more power at higher rpm, and more lift is going to give you more power at certain lower rpm.
