Default LS/VTEC not starting HELP

My swap consists of an B18b block w/ a B16 head on it. I cannot get the car to run properly. The cam timing is setup correctly, crank at TDC and cam hashmarks line up. Any susgestions on what i should do or should i take it to a shop? King motorsports is within 20 minutes of my house so i could tow it there or would it be better to take it to the acura dealership? Id like to fix it myself but i think I dont have enough time and tools to do it myself. Thanx

Please elaborate. Need somewhere to start. What have you already tried? Bad gas? Plug wires in wrong order? Distributor Timing? Any check engine codes?

i have a 1 check engine code, but its a throttle position sensor code. The plug wires are in the right order and the dizzy timing is set correctly. Ill check the valve lash but would that really make the car idle very bad? This is like a horrible idle, barely running idle.
