Default LS/VTEC looking for more power. Ideas please.

current setup:
'89 B16a head mild port work intake side. 3 angle valve job, new factory valve springs, valve guides, etc.
'90 b18a block, p30 pistons, mugen head gasket, new honda rings/ bearings. Type R oil pump.
bolt ons include: generic intake, K&N filter, 62mm throttle body, JG edelbrock intake manifold, RC engineering 310cc injectors, Walbro fuel pump, STR fuel rail, B&M FPR, USDM ITR cams, STR cam gears, MSD coil, magnecor plug wires, apex'i VAFC. I have the 4-1 JDM header on the way, but for now I am still using the kamikaze header from my old supercharged setup. I have no cat, and 3" mandrel bent exhaust. I will be spraying a 50shot at the track, but I want to get more all motor power... what is the next logical step, besides getting a better header. My car runs great now, but I know there is a lot of room for improvement. I have been told I should get the skunk 2 cams, someone else suggested crower's, I have heard that the JG intake is killing power, still others say I should lose the 3" exhaust. the only problem is, all of them are slower than me. BTW my car gets 29 mpg.

I dyno'd 207whp at 8480rpm with a similar setup, I used CTR cams with crower valve springs and retainers, ITR intake and exhaust mani, p30 pistons, ls rods and crank, ITR intake valves, p n p by portflow, RC 270's, and a 67mm throttle body.

I don't believe in VAFC, call me old school but I could never get one dialed in perfect for fuel. I'd get a custom prog for your setup done, but that's just me. 3" is a bit big I ran 2.5"

yeh, for now I'm stuck with the ITR ECU, it only lets me go to 8600. I heard the LS bottom end wont stand the revs tho.

I had the rods shotpeend (i think that's how you spell it) mine holds fine, I don't rev it out all that much.
