Ls/vtec idling problems...HELP!!!
ok so most of the time my car idles really good, it stays on and everything...sometimes when i put it in reverse it starts to sound rough, like if it were running on 3 cylinders, after that i put it back in first gear and it does the same thing, i drive and everytime i push the clutch in the rpm's drop really low and the car shuts off in like 2 seconds...it wont idle worth ****...this only happens when i put reverse in.
anyone have an idea wat this could be?

yea man they work good, unplugged them and it does the same thing
my idle is all [freak]ed up dude, [freak]ed up when its cold
so im preety sure my FITV is shot and my IACV is shot, gonna replace the iacv and clean the FITV
ill let you know if i still have this problem...i might have a shorter ground somewhere tho
sometimes its hard for my hid's to come and their dim, when i rev up they get brighter, all the grounds are tight tho...also, when i put my turn signal on my headlights start flickering.

btw. the same rough idling problem happens sometime when the car has been running for a while and i shut it off for like 5 minutes...it wont idle after i ahve to sit there and rev the **** up, thats when my rpm's drop to 0 when i go shift gears.
alright, replaced my grounds the other day and now the car idles like **** only when its cold...think my fitv is bad, took it out and tigtened up that white cap and didnt do nothing, if i hold the car at 2 grand it will eventuallly sound and idle good, think its running on 3 cylinders at first
the thing about the reverse lights was the grounds, i may have to check the alternator ground tho, when i turn my hid's on it starts doing it and making it sound like its running on 3 cylinders.
when the problem happens it misfires...sounds like its running on 3 cylinders...everytime i start the car it does it, wether its cold or hot...then it goes away after i hold the idle at 2k for at least 30 seconds.
bad dizzy cap???
