ls/vtec idle problems
Just out of nowhere my ls/vtec motor is idling extremly high 2K-3K rmps. The idle holds steady and doesnt surge or anything. I took off the intake and plugged the lower hole that goes to the fast idle thermo valve and the idle went back to normal. The motor was still cold but it still held a normal idle so im guessing i need to block off the fast idle thermo valve? How do i block this valve off without blocking coolant flow?
You can bypass it by going from the IACV directly to the line into the intake manifold using a bigger hose. I would just adjust the screw underneath it if it exists. Most TB's have a screw under that piece on the TB.

I bypassed the fast idle thermo valve but air is still sucking through the lower TB port. What do i need to block off to get air to stop sucking in there?
