Default LS/VTEC Dowel Pins

I just got my head back from the machine shop to have the head plugged the two holes to be widened and then resurfaced. I checked to see how the dowel pins fit in the new holes that they drilled out and there is a bit a play, especially compared to the holes in the stock locations, which are a snug fit. Do I have to be conserned about this at all such as getting a proper head gasket seal and alignment? Thanks for your help.

it'll be fine, they prolly used the std drill bit or reamer to open the holes ... the tightest fit is 14mm bit, but thats not something you can buy in your local hardware store ... I ordered my from drillbits.com or somethign like that, paid nuggies for that thing... but I do a lot of these ls and b20 setups so it was worth it for me, for the regular guy doing it once, teh regular 9/16" bit works fine.
