LS/VTEC block plans on an auto LS i got Q's
B18a block.
its an auto with higher miles.... 150ish...
my plan: is just to bore it out, throw ITR pistons in it and build the block for LS/VTEC.
then just sell the block and head seperately. If i have the money, ill do the whole Longblock with a B16 head. Id like to build it for fun, and make like 50 bucks off it... am i going to have any problems with my idea?
is it worth it?

unfortunately, you will probably not make your money back on the build, even if you got the block for free. a nice oem ls vtec setup is balanced bottom end, shot peened rods, and b16 pistons. a friend paid $400 for all his balancing work, add $80 for rings, and $80 for bearings, rod bolt hardware, etc. best way to sell it would be not assembled, so you can verify what is included.
ah hell... i need something to do.. an i need to make a lil $$$... so this wouldnt be a good idea? even without that work mentioned?
if you need money, you can go roam the local junkyards and find blocks and heads for dirt cheap, clean em up and sell em. Or another way is to install stuff for people and charge a fee.
