building ls vtec
i can get a b18a engine free from a friend, but the block is in bad shape i got to replace crank, rod and piston, i was gonna replace the the rods and pistons with stock ones and get ctr pistions, there is no wiring harness, is this engine worth doing a ls vtec swap.

Re: building ls vtec (jspek29)
Honestly it would be cheapeer and better if yoi got a new bolck that works, because after the headache and cost it would be cheaper or maybe the same price.

**** if its free take it. what are your plans? if you wanna build it up some day then i say get it and slowly build that and in the mean time buy a ls block from somwhere else and use that for your ls/vtec. or if you want get it, strip it and sell the bare block. then use the money twards another ls block? jes some ideas.

Re: building ls vtec (mitsuman)
i plan on building it i just don't know if its worth the money, i think it would cool to have it around and put stuff on it when i had the time and money, i want to do swap around april , i can do a full b16 swap for about 2500, but i dont like the lack of torque. but i want something reliable thats why im scared to go ls vtec.
