ls/vtec
My buddy is building a ls/vtec and i always heard you had to change out the pistons to vtec pistons is this true? Cause hes saying he wants to use the stock ls pistons and i dont want him to mess it up. Please help..
No, I think you can keep the stock pistons. Now is a good time to change them if he ever want to upgrade though.
, but you'll get low compression.....and you can't rev high at all or else your valves will hit the pistons.
you can keep your stock pistons....ls/vtec is a headache.....right way--->if you go this route, then do it right by putting all the oil sprayers, oil pump,tranny,etc...etc.....be prepaired for motor oil leakage......thats normal on ls/vtec....unless you are bless......i highly doubt it....half *** way-->just put the vtec top-end on your block...done...personally i would stick to one whole motor....don't complicate things.....keep it simple....peace
