LS rods in a D16 turbo?
I am having trouble getting a machine shop to make the bushing to accept the d16 wrist pin. I need help in finding a place, and or someone who has done this? what does it cost? do i have to notch the block to let the rods fit? this was all in a magazine a while ago but i lost the issue.
PLEASE HELP!
PLEASE HELP!
which ls rods are you referring to? are you looking to re-bush aftermarket ls rods to accept the d-series standard .747 wrist pin as opposed to the ls sized .826? why? just get the right rods, the LS are just gonna add reciprocating mass...if you are speaking of using re-sized stock ls rods in a d-series turbo, lower the Adderall dosage and calm down, cuz that means your intending on using them with press-fit wrist pins, which are otherwise known as stock cast pistons...
i know about the pistons.
the rods are OEM LS rods i need get machine work done to them, i found someone in the FI forum to help me, but thanx.
If you have any other good ideas on how to rebush the wrist pin to accept the d16 stock piston. I'll take those.
