Ls Rod question
It would not be recommended for long extended periods of time.
With the cost of proper aftermarket rods being so inexpensive it is cheap insurance in investing on a proper set of H-beam steel rods. This will also allow you to support much higher cylinder pressures and rpm.

just depends on what you've done to the crank 9k is fine on a modified crank we rev them up too 11k on our all motor set ups with no problems cause of the fabrications we done to the crank but depends if you even need to go that high what cams are u runnin cause oem cams tend to stop producing power after 7200 rpm so theyre really no need to rev past 8k
