Default LS distributor with VTEC head?

Ive heard that if you chop off one of the legs on the LS distributor, it can be used with a VTEC head.

Does anyone have experiance with this? Does it work exactly the same as a VTEC one would or are there other differances?

the wiring harness is only different if one thing is from an obdI and the other is from an obdII. I have one aready set up for that from a obdII car. Cheap cheep let me know. ( you won't have to hack up the one you have and can save it or sell it)

with only one bolt holding it on there, are you still able to advance or retard your distributer? thanks

Do you still have full adjustabilty as well with the LS dist. on a VTEC engine? Like can I retard or advance the timing +/- 10 degrees?

Two bolts, one on top and one on the back end of the distributor.
