LS compression of 90psi with new cp's ?
I need to know what compression numbers i should settle for, on an ls with 9-1 CR cp's.
I was expecting a lot higher but i have tested it 3 times and i am only getting around 90.
This is an ls motor with 1500 miles on it.

160 psi sounds good for 9-1. I got 210 psi across the board on my stock b16(10.6-1). The mileage doesnt matter, if they are all the same, then your good. Sounds like you got a healthy motor.

this motor has 1500 miles on the new cp's and 12k since the last true hone so it these rings have to have more time to break in.
anyways 160 is good enough to boost on.
thanks to all

if your rings did not seat after 1500 miles, then you have a problems....rings do their 90% of seating in the first miles....
remember that compression #'s are going to be dependent on:
compressor tester that you use.
temp.
alt.
So don't worry about other peoples #'s consistency is the key
