Default Low oil pressure at idle in a k20a2 engine

Hi guys! My name is Jim and probably bore you with mistakes in my writing. Well, for 5 years I've put in the car oil pressure gauges and temperature. Always put oil 5w30. Always idling at 80 degrees Celsius had 2.3 bar pressure (33 psi) and 90 2.1 degrees Celsius (30 psi) Now I see 0.9 bar (13 psi). The measurements are from Sandwich plate, between the oil filter and oil cooler.

I changed the oil in the same viscosity. I changed the oil filter. Did not change anything. I changed the oil pump, I checked the metal connecting rods, and was in very good condition. The problem is only at idle. When the revs climb the pressure is normal. By v-tec I have no problem.

13psi is not near low enough to cause any problems, provided the oil gets to where it needs to be. You may want to substitute another gauge to verify yours still reads out correctly.

33psi is awfully high at idle. Most engines idle anywhere from 10-25psi at most. Since you've pulled parts before asking the obvious questions, it could be just about anything you have removed.

I put a new sensor and shows the same pressure.
The inner gauge has not been replaced
Think if the problem is inside gauge
But the engineer put his gauge and saw the same pressure

The K20A2 oil pressure is-10-12 psi at idle. Your engine is normal. (Now anyways. The pressure was too high previously)

although 13 psi isn't something bad I believe that at something happened and lost 1 + var pressure.
Thanks guys!

Μy k20a2 have for 5 years dcrh,70mm exhaust,90mm custom cai,hondata gasket,ported rbc,
k-pro,sadwich plate (oil temperature-pressure)no leaks, hamp oil short filter.
Last year (11 months)hybrid chain tensioner,toda a2 cams,headgasket 0,3mm,toda valvesrings.
Last 2 months pcv valve changed by free Connector with tube to
atmosphere.closed the hole of rbc
Oil pump ok,bearings rods ok,change oil and filter.
Generally from idle to red line lost 1.1 bar pressure

you'll know when you're oil psi is too low. right now its fine. not like you can open it up and adjust it.

people with oil psi gauges bug me. its nice to monitor if you're an engine builder, but for the general public, its not.

reason why most new cars don't have one, and also why they are going away with temp gauges.

only 2 things that you need to know. you either have enough oil pressure, or you don't.

if you're an engine builder than you can look up spec and see how far it differs.

Yes, but when the temperature goes 100 degrees Celsius, pressure at idle is not high(10-11 psi), especially when I had always over 25 psi at 110 deg.celsius..

Ill remove the small oil filter Hamp( This small filter have more pressure ) and will put the genuine honda oil filter to see if
light the check of oem sensor (low oil pressure)

We found the reason the oil pressure dropped.
We changed and oil jets but nothing..
Today we opened the motor and found 2 parts of Hybrid chain tensioner thrown away..Cap Was in oil pan.
Τhe safety lock have not yet found

Where is this?

I have to reiterate that 10-12 psi is stock K20a2 oil pressure at idle......

Hybrid had a batch of faulty tensioners.. Pressure is ok in my opinion..
