i was going the speed limit (35) in 3rd gear when all the sudden there was three loud backfires and my car turned off. i pull off the road and sat in a parking lot for 10 mins then tried to restart and all i am getting is back fires??????????????? the ecu is reading code 16 (fuel injector problems) can some one please help me ???????????

 

stupid question, but are you sure you're not out of gas?

you've described the common symptoms for not having gas in your car, which is why you may not be getting fuel into the system.

 

or good chance your fuel pump took a sh*t . what year is the car? if anything first check to seeif its even turning on when you click the key over you will hear the system prime listen by the rail if your hear it prime then a click noise its fine. start with that. if you have fuel next check for spark. hope it helps.

 

lol thats funny as hell...heheheh yea i have a 1/4 tank of gas just put in $15 yesterday then didnt drive it till today... the car is a 89 honda crx with a build motor and a turbo system... the fuel pump does turn on when i turn the key and for the record its a walbro 195 preowned when it was put in.. if it was broke would it still make the same noise?

 

it wouldn't prime at all.
so i'm assuming your car runs now since you said you didn't drive it til today?
