My friend lost his keys to his 99 cavalier and he can't find them. He can't get a key made becasue the shops are closed on the weekend, and the car is parked in front of somebodys house and we need to get it out of there. does anybody know how get the car started with out keys? This quesion is not a performance tech question, but people on honda-tech know a lot, so i would really appreciate any help. Please no flames.

Sorry but it is a general rule on H-T to not post about how to get into cars without keys. Theres enough theft out there and we dont know you, not to accuse you but hey, precaution helps.

Ok even if it wasn't the weekend u said u lost your key so how are you going to have one made?

2nd this is a board full of hondas where theft is extremely common. the discussing of that stuff is not liked by many people, and i belive you are lookin in the wrong place for the answer. The best thing to do is contact your local Chevy dealership.

and it appears to almost be tomorrow,so im sure u could wait until tomorrow whenever the key place opens so u can go make one,however u plan on doing that.

ok well your a ****** moron you take your vin # in to a dealership and they make you a copy thats how so many of hondas get stolen they are supposed to ask to see the title and insurace card and id but most places dont

jack the car up in the front and roll it out of the way...now since its monday go to dealer and get key made...
