loss of powere at high RPM's
i have a 95 civic 2dr 1.5 DX. i had sparkplug 1 blow from the manifold and i had it rethreaded, well since then i had the timing readjusted to honda specs, and teh plugs and wires are all new. asl well as all the distributer parts. why when i hit all the high RPM's does the car sputter like im running out of gas? i have to ease off the gas for it to act normal. what could go wrong, i use chevron 93 octaine gas and gas filter is new. could this be my cat converter?
you had a sparkplug blow out of the engine? like it ripped the threads out? i wouldn't be running my engine hard if it did something of that sort.
to actually help you out though, make sure your fuel pressure is within specs (~35psi). you could double check your timing as well, i watch people get screwed by stupid service people all the time. also, you're wasting your money by running 93 octane on a stock engine. you can run regualr old 87 octane and you won't feel a difference (except in your wallet).

yea i had the preasure checked along w/ the timing all the same time. and luckly to my surprise, the person i have checking it works at the dealership i got it from. though it is under the table. he is still a mechanic ASE cert. could it be the CAT converter?
