I set my car up for "smog" setup so I could take the trip to the local referee. Everything went fine and I drove the car in the setup for about 1 week without any trouble. This included the stock intake manifold, stock tb, integra firewall mounted map and all new vac hoses. Stuck the car on the smog machine at a local shop and confirmed I was passing the sniffer and all was in line to hit up the ref. The day before I was supposed to make my appointment, the car started to jerk under light acceleration aroun 3,000rpms. It was like someone took away all the fuel and the engine was only pumping air. Going full throttle fixed the problem instantly and I checked for codes that night. The CEL never came on, but there was a stored code (4) (Crank Position Sensor)... The dist was used, so I figured that the CPS was most likely the cause for this problem and purchased a new dist. Swapped this in and all seemed fine on my late night test drive. Next morning though, it took it a while, but the problem came back. That afternoon after the car had been sitting for 8 hours, I fired it up and went on my home. The problem was VERY bad at this point. So bad, the idle was very low and rough, and the car died once on me. It would cut out at any given rpm, and even with the clutch pushed in I could not rev the car to catch it when it dropped down low. At this point, I am running out of ideas. I just installed new wires, tripple checked my vac lines and wires, and still can't seem to find out whats causing this problem. The thing is, I don't get any codes. Does anyone have ANY ideas that could help me out? I need to get this car back to the ref here shortly.
