Looking for an old thread about how to trick secondary O2 sensor.
I have OBDII, and just replaced my cat with a test pipe. I saw a thread here once that showed how to wire a resistor in place of the secondary O2 sensor in ordser to keep from getting a CEL. I can't find it now. Thanks for any help.
my friend has a type-r and he just wrapped it in aluminum foil and zip tied it and it worked fine. Not sure if you want to do it like that though.
I tried that and it hasn't worked. My CAT was shot before I removed it. I was already getting a #67 CEL. I didn't clean the sensor before I wrapped it, so that might be the problem. I'm not worried about it. It doesn't effect performance. The problem is that I'm selling the car. I don't think I'll get a very good price with a CEL.
