Tricking secondary o2 sensor with testpipe
couldn't find any solid info on this. I have heard about people with test pipes wraping their o2 sensors with tin foyle. Does the sensor have to be in the testpipe bung hole if you are wrapping it in tin foyle?? just lookin for some feed back on it.
Or get a testpipe that has some catalyst material around the O2 bung.
edit- Only needed on the secondary O2.

We tried a simulator on a 2001 S2000 it did not work. I believe the same would happen on a 2001 ITR. Just switch the ECU to an OBD1 and you won't have to worry about it.

Some one on here did it a while ago using this diagram (I think it was BlackR). I'll see if I can find the post

i just screw my o2 into the test pipe bung, which is long enough not to allow the 02 to sit in the exhaust stream and i get no CEL. No screen or anything in the bung.
Will this trick work even if I don't screw the sensor back into the exhaust? My testpipe doesn't have a bung.

Wow, I need to try that w/ my GSR. I have a test pipe waiting at the house. Maybe i'll go for it this weekend and hope for the best. If it gives a cel, I'll try out the diagram the person gave....
So how the hell do you order these parts and radio shack? Just tell someone at the counter those numbers, and they will find the stuff?

he was selling an o2 simulator. don't know if it would work with no o2 at all, but try asking him to find out exactly how it works.
good luck.

DAMMIT! I just went to Radio Shack with the part #'s. Apparently US and Canadian stores use a different # scheme. Now stupid me has to figure this shiat out.
Edit: anyone have pics or better discriptions of the parts needed?

so , if i buy a test pipe , what do i need to do , now that im OBD1 , and what do i do if i DONT have a bong hole on the pipe , should i get one with or with out , thanks . .. .
like others have said, just wrap the o2 sensor in tin foil and put it in the car (or tie it somewhere under neath) or just pull it into the passenger compartment without wrapping it if yu want. Code 67 should be thrown everyonce in awhile but just reset the ecu.. or don't, it doesn't effect performance anyways.
hell, I just removed the CEL light. My car has had a code 67 for a long, long, long time.

If you are OBDI you will not need the secondary O2 sensor as OBDI was only made for single O2 sensor. Just tie it up somewhere or wrap it, it doesn't really matter.
You may want to buy a test pipe with the second bung so you have some place to plug the secondary O2 sensor.
