Default Location of ABS controler in engine bay?

I have a 97 EX, it says it has ABS but in the engine bay I can't find the controler,, and when I slam on the breaks it locks the wheels and no ABS comes on. I have the ABS light in the gauge but it never comes on. Also I have a custom cd player and that deactivates the interior light and door sensors. So I don't know what else it might affect. Anyone know where I can look, or any other ways to figure out the problem. Pics would be nice too. Thanks

This is the system overview diagram from the HELM manual. If your car has ABS, you'll find these items in the places mentioned.
