Little TPS problem...
I was driving around in GR today and crusin about highway speed when my check engine light came on. I'm like "Hell..." The car didn't feel any different, and still had all its power, so I just decided to drive home and check it out. Got home - check it. Code 7 - TPS sensor. I'm like "What the hell." Open the hood to see a hole where the TPS sensor used to be, and the TPS sensor, still connected to the wiring, just danging. I'm like "Dammit" one screw and washer was SOMEHOW still stuck in the screw hole to the TPS sensor. I took the other car down to the hardware store and got two new screws, reinstalled the sensor, started the car, and the light came on again. I checked the code and it was the same. I inspected the sensor and it turns freely. It doesn't look like it's physically broken. I reinstalled and drove the car around for a while - still no power loss or anything, but the light's still on. I cycled the ignition oa couple times and the light's still on.
Should I try the old "disconnect the battery to reset the ECU" trick? I haven't tried to do that yet.

you may also need to calibrate your TPS sensor. the sensor needs to read .5 volts at the closed position and 4.5 volts at WOT. you can achive that, using a volt meter and conect it to the ground and the middle wire from the TPS. 98ctr.
Lets get more specific: With the throttle closed, the TPS output should be <.5v. This is the important #. At WOT, you 'should' have 4.5v, if not, don't adjust the TPS to get it....you would have moved the idle voltage around.
