Lithium Grease-Shifter Replacement??

Default Lithium Grease-Shifter Replacement??

Read write up on short shifter installation and it said use lithium grease on boot.
Is it necessary to use Lithium grease when replacing shifter as puttin in short shifter tomorrow so need to know will i have to buy some.Will the grease thats already in there do or will i have to replace it.Shifter moves with ease at the moment,always smooth.What do ye think.

While you are in there might as well. Just use what ever grease you have. Wipe all the old stuff out of there.

Goos Sig,ill difinitely remember that one,have a lithium based grease here anyway the father uses it so i'm good.Just thought lithium was a specific type so as not to corrode the rubber but the stuff we have doesnt either.Thanks.
