lets play a game called name that sound.....
since last night every time i get my car rolling i hear a sound coming from the front that sounds like a rattling/grinding sound. it doesnt happen when the engine is on and idling or even if your revving the motor it only happens when the car is in motion. anyone know what this could be?
Does it go away when you apply the brakes? How about when you drift left or right? Your description is too vague and there's too many possibilities. Did you recently do something like lowering it or get big wheels? More detail is needed since I can't hear the noise from where I am sitting.
when i apply the brakes the sound fades ,and it goes away when im at a complete stop the car is still at stock height and still has stock wheels.nothing on the car has been changed before or after i heard the sound,it just started happening, the car has about 160k miles on it
Since we're guessing anyway....
Recently, I had a strange sound coming from my car only when it was in motion. It actually sounded like plastic rubbing on one of my tires. It turned out that one of the metal shims/sound dampers on the back of one of my brake pads had shifted. It was actually metal rubbing on metal, but it didn't sound like that, so it took awhile to figure it out. It was annoying as all hell! Anyway, my example just proves that without a better description, your sound could be anything!! (Hehe, check your brake pads...)

One time a stone flipped up and got into the pad/caliper area and made a nasty scraping sound. If the brakes check out, (there is a wear indicator, by the way, that will make noise if the pads are too worn), I would check out the wheel bearing(s).

bceause the sound is heard when moving. the sound also doesnt change when braking. also look how many miles he has. the axles usually makes a clicking noise when turning. and usually never when driving straight.
it could be the muffler bearings...or possibly your blinker fluid is low....
naw, I dunno know man, the only thing I know is my 97 EX is doing the same damn thing and Ive got new wheel bearings/brakes. The only thing I can come up with is rack&pinion or cv joint or xomethin????

ALso, check your calipers for all their bolts. I had a worry for a while....turned out one of the Slider bolts in the caliper was missing and the caliper would acuatlly bounce against the inside of the wheel.
