leaking oil
Have had a JDM B16 in for five days, and am noticing some oil seeping from the head gasket directly under the VTEC selonoid. I can't @#$&! believe it because this engine is real clean; none of the bolts have ever been touched and it runs great. Do you guys think it could be the head gasket?
No oil in the coolant, no coolant in the oil. No smoke.

do it this way. get a can of brake cleaner and spray off all of the oil and grim at the spot where you think it is leaking from. let the brake cleaner air dry. most likely it will start leaking where you think it will leak. i think it's the cam seal that is behind the VTEC soleniod. DOHC motor has that problem all the time. HONDA has made a plastic plug with an o-ring. I think it works better because the full rubber on shrinks.
Think I got it...on the head between the distributor and VTEC, I found a thin film of oil running down the side which is probably feeding the pool I found on the gasket corner. I traced it back up to the valve cover gasket, right where it goes over the cams. It is a new gasket too....

Sounds like camseal or valve cover gasket, get new ones and use hondabond like Beerman said. Start with the most common problems first.
