Default koni yellow torquing bolt situation

i have another question about the koni yellows. where you adjust the firmness setting of the konis there are two bolts that you torque down to 22 ft lbs. i tried torquing the first bolt to 22 ft lbs and probably only will torque down to 15 before the whole shaft begins to spin. is it that you are supposed to torque the top locking bolt down to 22 ft lbs because if thats the case the shaft is still spinning. is it a big deal that it is torqued down correctly? i can see a little under an inch of thread sticking out. im not too sure if that is too much or too little, i would suppose to little, but just checking.

Ive found that you need a 7mm( if I remember correctly) wrench or socket to hold the shaft (hex on the shaft at the top closest to the adjuster) while you torque down the nut so you can't really use a torque wrench here. I go by gut feel but make sure you get it pretty close. Once you are happy with this nut torque go ahead and jam the second nut on.

Yup about an inch. Don't use a impact on the Koni's, you could probably spin the adjuster with the shaft and seriously f*ck something up.
