Koni or Bilstien
I am in the process of changing over my struts and am a bit unsure on which ones to buy. I want quality strutsa dn know that Koni and Bilstien are both great products. I am just unsure on which to buy. I saw a strut spring package for both Bilstien and Koni at shox.com and they are both prety pricey, but worth it I have been told. I currently have H&R springs on the car with stock struts. I get crazy wheel hop in the back end, the struts are bad, and I need to replace them soon. I do no race teh car, but not sure if I want the adjustable Koni yellows or non-adjustable reds, or the non-adjustable Bilstiens.....coould use some help here....also looking into a bushing kit and sway bars.
for a street car, I'd definately get bilsteins. Everyone I know who has them LOVES the ride quality and handling characteristics.
All the hardcore autocrossers I know use Koni Yellow dbl adjustables or custom Konis. If you are gonna spend the time to really tune your shocks, Koni yellows rock.
AGXes are also a nice budet alternative, although I'd prob still get the bilsteins given the opportunity.
FYI, I have koni yellows on my 85 CRX + AGXes/GCs on the 91 CRX HF.

I agree.
Thanks for the info. I was strongly leaning towards the Bilsien struts and with the advice I have gotten form here, I will be making that purchase within the next two weeks.

I have Konis, the adjustable version.
I do not have the fronts on yet so I cannot give a full description. If I could do it again, I might have gone the Bilstein way, BUT I think I got a good price on them.
I'm not sure how much Bilsteins are, I think the cheapest I saw was $89-94ea.. I got my Konis for $476 ($119ea.), when most places are $550-600.

koni's
Bilsteins!!
they are the most technolgically advanced shock absorber company around. I use them on my desert truck and ask anyone who is into desert racing, shocks are the difference in the dirt and bilsteins always come out on top (quite literally)
the price isnt bad, either.
