Default knocking sound in reverse

i just noticed the other day that i have like some sort of knocking sound when i go in reverse. it's not like something spinning though because it has a constant tap rather than a one that speeds up with my speed. not sure what it is though.

hrm. Could this be wheel bearings or cv's? Would that happen only in reverse?

I don't think it's the diff, I don't think that would make a "knock" per se, not enough weight to it.. ya know...

Anyone?
