Knocking from engine bay
There is a knocking noise in the engine bay. It's there when it sits idle but it gets louder when you press on the gas. I've been told that it's a spun rod bearing but I just want to make sure before I go out and get a kit. Another thing is that the car will run for about 20 minutes before it dies. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can go about fixing it?
Before I get a rod bearing kit (if I find out that it's the problem) is there anything else I should consider that might have messed up? I'm saying... Will the rod bearing kit not be enough to fix this problem??
Thanks guys.

1 by 1, pull each ignition wire while the engine is running. Start with number 4 cylinder. Listen to the volume of the knock as you pull each plug wire. If no change, place the plug wire back in and go to the next one.
When you sound drops in volume after disconnecting a certain plug wire - the rod with the destroyed bearing is for that cylinder.
Unfortunately just getting new bearings won't fix this. In 99% of cases you need a new rod and new crank. The damaged bearing is allowing the rod end to clank against the crank surface - scoring both the rod end and the crank journal.
Do NOT drive the car.
