Knock Sensor Issue: JDM B16
I have a jdm b16a obd0
when the car get warm I get the knock sensor code witch is 23
i replace the knock sensor because was broke
and also I replace the ecu but didn't help at all
wire are good
not sure what the problem
I put ship gas on the car and someone tell me that will make the knock sensor code show up but I don't think so that the problem
my lost motion assembly are bad
cut be a problem that

Re: Knock Sensor Issue: JDM B16
Your replaced knock sensor may be reading some engine noise coming from the bad LMAs. Replacing the ECU would not have done anything, it's just allowing the knock sensor to be recognized.
Using lower octane won't necessary trigger a knock sensor if detonation isn't actually happening within the engine due to a variety of factors.
It's best to
1) get your LMAs proper,
2) re-valve lash the car, then
3) use a volt meter to see if even the knock sensor is wired properly and reading.
Don't just attempt to make the sensor "trigger". You can ruin the entire engine that way.
