Knock Sensor.....
I've tried searching but have come up empty handed trying to find out about a knock sensor and what roll it plays in swaps. Are there alternatives to this, I saw that someone posted a pick of a PLX device in another post about "knock sensors". I mianly wanna know what it does and why its needed.
Thanks

Try searching Google then.
Knock sensors play a role in engine management, not just Honda swaps.
Its basically a microphone that listens for detonation. If it hears it, the ECU will in turn pull timing in an attempt to stop the detonation.

So in doing my swap, I am going to have to install a knock sensor right or can I just go w/ the PLX R-500 which someone posted on this thread....?

If the swap you're doing comes with an ECU that is looking for a knock sensor, then yes, you need a knock sensor.
The PLX R-500 has nothing to do with a swap.
