hey guys wats up , my problem is ... one day i take a trip to my local schucks , just to do a routine oil change (first time i've changed oil on my honda) so i go in just walk around and check out the various oils on the shelf , one of the sales guys comes and helps me cause i guess i had a "lost look on my face" ... he asks what kinda car i drive , anything done to the motor & q's along those lines , i tell him i'm just running basic bolton's (I/H/E) w/ a higher compression on my motor (mini-me) so he tells me oh you have performance parts and immediately reaches for Mobil 1 10w50 synthetic "high-performance oil" . I figure since he's the sales guy he knows what he maybe talking about so i pick up 4 quarts ... i get home do the oil change and get done ... take my car out and i notice my car seems a little more sluggish ...
so to make a long story short ... is the 10w50 oil too thick for my little Mini-Me ? and if my oil is too thick what do you guys reccomend using ?
(i've searched on H-T and google & i've found subjects that are closely related but no exact answers
)

ya that oil is kinda thick for that engine.........it feels sluggish because of the extra thickness of the oil.
you would only want to run that type of oil if you were doing some kind of road racing all the time.
i would dump that oil and just stick to the recommended 5W30 or 10W30. cant go wrong with either of those grades......

Yeah , thats what i was thinking when i read up on 10w50 ... it's an oil more for forced induction motors ... which i don't have so i think i'll just go with a mobil 1 10w30 synthetic or something along those lines ... thanks
