i built an ls/vtec with type r pistons when the motor was first warmed up we didn't notice that one of the injector wires were snipped. we fixed that. but after we checked some things out to make sure things looked good we took it for a ride and noticed for example if i was driving 40 mph and floored the gas you can hear a rattl;ing klinking noise from the engine. when i rev it up and then let rpms come down then rev it quick again you hear a knock noise. I am gonna look around the inside of the motor what should i look for.

 

maybe the shields on the cat converter are loose?

its not the cat or knocking. i found out what it was. it was the valve lashing the # 1 cylinder was to tight. it seems to be good now
