Help! I have a 2006 Honda Oddysey, and the key will not return to the lock position so that I can remove it from the ignition. The van is in Park, wheels are straight, everything is turned off, etc.

I understand that under the steering wheel there might be a cable that has gone bad?

Is there a good way to get this key out manually without paying someone a boatload of cash?

you can try putting it in nuetral too.

 

Are u still able to push the key inward?

 

I worked on a car the other day that wouldn't start, which turned out to be a bad ignition switch. When I unplugged the switch, I couldn't remove the key. Maybe your switch has gone bad or there is a bad connection?
