Default kaaz LSD clicking clunking

I've got a KAAZ LSD in a B16a3 tranny and that damn thing clicks and clunks like no tomorrow sometimes in slow turns. Now from what i've been reading all over the place is that since it is a clutch type, it will do that. But my question is.... How much of a clunk or click sound/feel is normal. This is my first time w/ an LSD and i'm just a little worried that it's a little to much. Any advise would be cool... thanks

Shane

at slow speeds that POS clutch type LSD should sound like it's eating the transmission and should feel like it's jumping and ctaching all over. quaife rules.

When Kaaz's are new and not broke in, the clutches will chatter, esp. first thing in the morning.

I quited mine down by running Pennzoil Synchro mesh and 1/3 tube of posi additive.....

But mines also has 50k miles on it, time for a rebuild @ $275 for parts.

Right now i've got the KAAZ gear oil in there, what else should I throw in there to help it out a little or a lot? The LSD has maybe 3000 miles on it... And how will I know it's not blown or going out?

POS? Just because a racing part doesn't meet your NVH standards, doesn't mean it is a POS.

As others have said, they are a bit 'crunchy' when they are new. It is possible that you don't have the proper transmission oil in there, you need something made for clutch type LSDs.

Understand your dealing with a race part......not a cushy street unit.

Contact Ray @ KaazUSA, but after the second can of Kaaz fluid, I never went back. First was used for breakin, second sttill felt alot of chatter, at at 10k miles I went with synchromesh.......
