New two the K Series world and just so happens that I pick up a K20A3 and a K24A4 from a local junk yard for $1200. I understand that it will cost a lot of money to place one of these motors in a EG. However, my question is. What is the best one from these two that I got to keep if I decide to try and put one in my 93 Civic DX Hatch?

 

K24a4 Would make better power and tq. but you need the k20 tranny.

So what K20 tranny is the right one to go with?

 

According to people who actually have real world experience, a 6 speed k20 tranny's gear ratios are way too short too use with the torque of the k24. From what I hear, you'll never hook up.

I'd stick with a k24 tranny.
