Hello guys, I had a race last sunday and at the race suddenly the 2nd gear went out. After opening the gearbox found out that the teeth of the main shaft was gone, now have to change the main shaft, the 2nd gear and some bearings

Have anyone had the same problem or know what could caused this? here's a picture

 

2nd gear is weak in the k series 6 speed transmission.

i'm guessing you're putting down a decent amount of power, you shifted like you normally would from 1st to 2nd in a drag race, and then BOOM. 2nd gear failure is somewhat common with k series + drag racing.

racerstev has a treatment that he can do to your gears that will make them A LOT stronger/able to withstand racing conditions.
