b series 2nd gear.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if 2nd gear is machined onto either the input or output shaft. I need to know if its possible to change it to a different ratio.

The mainshaft 2nd gear is part of the shaft. You will need to change the mainshaft and 2nd gear on the countershaft to change the ratio.

ok, thanks for that. i'm in need of a longer 2nd gear so i guess i'll have to buy a complete gearbox and transfer the parts into my s80 box.
