Default K20 info this is a very serious topic

Ok this is a topic that has been killing everyone at the ephatch website. Spoon, and AJ Racing are supposed to be working on swaping the A2 head onto the A3 and I was wondering if any of you "techs" would know if this is possible and if you know why. As you know the A3 in the Si has only intake cam VTEC as the A2 has VTEC on the intake and exhaust side, but that's not even the whole issue. There is compression, pistons, valve springs, seeing as we have a lower compression then the A2 we are more boost ready but will the conversion be like the old Mini me or will it work at all? and what all will we need as far as ECU etc. if any of you know (FOR SURE) then please give your input. Again this is a very seeked topic and I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks -J

yeah, that's on ephatch, i just thought someone here might have a better idea or has worked with the internals of the engine. Have you been to ephatch?

Well, in japan they put the A2 head on the K24 block. So i am pretty sure
that the head gaskets are gonna be the same for all K20/24A* motors

Yeah, but what about all the necessary hardware with respect to the vtec vtc etc.

also, I would imagine that a k24 is closer to a k20A2 than a K20A2 is to a K20A3.
