OK I just got my car back after it was stolen. They had to fix the steering column and such because it was broken from them messing with it to hotwire it. (some white push button thing). Anyway I just got hte car back and now hte CEL is on, the SRS light is on and I'm idling ~2000rpm. I do have skunk2 stage2 cams right now but I never idled like htis before (actually I was pretty close to stock). I tried resetting the ECU and still nothing (running a P28 BTW). Should I try the stock one? They did rip off my VAFC which was wired into the ECU. Any ideas?

 

the bypassed (cut) wires that were wired to your VAFC sounds like your problem.

so would swapping back to the original ECU help? It doesnt look like they messed up the wires to the ECU they just uplugged the VAFC at that "clip"

 

Update... yep the ECU swap helped.... CEL went away, idle is back, but the SRS light is still on. I'll just bring it back to the shop for that one though. Thanks for the advice

 

srs light is gay. i don't think you can reset it yourself. i just took the bulb out.

 

but the thing is it was never on until now...
