I would not recommend it. The JUN's make most of their power from 7000-8800 RPM. I do not think that you want to be revving your LS/Vtec that high due to the Rod/stroke ratio

Actually, I was the one with the broken cams. Because mine broke, doesn't mean that all JUN cams are bad. I am still waiting to hear from JUN Japan. Those guys have kept me informed of all the steps.....I'll say one thing. They have good customer service

My friends had JUN 3's in his CRVTEC-EK. The thing made most of it's power from 6800 to 9500rpm. He raced my friends (GSR-EK with a CTR intake cam) and lost off the line but ended up winning by 4 cars. No traction 1st, 2nd, then at the end of 3rd it grips on 17's. I agree with him that the JUN's have the best top end because he drives his bosses car sometimes, with Toda B's in his CTR motor and it has better midrange punch but not the top end pull of the JUN's. The only downside to that was the JUN-CRVTEC motor blew up because the cam shattered on him at 8,000rpm. He works at Ground Zero Motorsports in Portland, OR and says that he has seen several people come in with the same problem. So really it's up to you on what you want to do. I believe that those are the best top end cams out there, just when they **** up ur motor it really sucks.

Hehehe, that is exactly what happened to me, the exhaust cam broke into 5 pieces. JUN USA has sent my head with the broken cam to JUN Japan. Their engineers should be looking at it to determine the cause of the failure. If anyone wants to see my setup, just click the link in my signature. I used JUN valve springs and Crower titanium retainers.

Damn canuck-mx6 it seems like a lot of people are having that problem with their JUN's. What all happened to your motor when the cam shattered?

The bottom end was okay. My CTR pistons got dinged, but they are reusable. The cam broken in five pieces and bent my exhaust vavles. The exhaust cam geat was also got scratched as it rubbed on the timing belt cover. I am still waiting to hear from JUN Japan to see if they will cover the damge. These are the things that need to get fixed

* New set of Skunk 2 cam gears - $200
* New Jun exhaust cam - $475
* Eight exhaust valves - $240

I can't wait to get this repaired. It is getting warm outside, time to go cruising.

I'm currently running the SKUNK2 STAGE 2 cams and I love them! From reading your post it seems like your valve train is not beefed up! NO point in getting the JUN 3's if your not gonna get valve springs and retainers and some nice valves would be nice! Oh and an ECU that would let you rev to 9500

The reason why i mention SKUNK2 is because they make VERY similar give or take 1-2 horses...and skunk2 is very affordable!

I know some people say not to rev so high with Ls/vtec, because of the rod/stroke ratio. but, It seems that some of the posts stating the problems have been with the Cams, for whatever reason, and nothing to do with the actual rod/stroke ratio. I just got an LS block to build,(already have JDM B16A SiR-II in the car) and I want to run all JUN head internals, but I've thought about using a different crank or something to get a better rod/stroke ratio so I can rev safely, although, i mean It may not be like the B16's rod/stroke, but surely it isnt so bad that you cant rev to 9500 at all. Im just curious if anyone has any more info or anything to help out. I have tried to search already so please dont ask me to search.
