jun stage 3
You might want to consider JUN valvetrain to be on the safe side. I am sure you can run JUN3 with ITR valvetrain but you put your engine at a high risk for problems.

you MIGHT be able to pull it off, but it won't be worth the lint in your underwear if you don't.... Trust me that you'll want to run the cams with the JUN valvetrain, you can't have those cams and not rev past red line...
HB eh? i used to live there!
anyways..i wouldNT say "any rpm"...i just wouldNT hit VTEC in it tell i get the JUN valvetrain to go with the JUN cams!!! the non-VTEC lobes (JUN3)couldnt be bigger then the VTEC lobes on a ITR cam...

They will bind in vtec the inner itr springs cant take 12mm of lift and the jun 3's are like 12.3mm it will brake your cams and you might drop valves. If you put those cams in and dont go into vtec you will lose power, those cams make more power in high rpms, meaning 8500rpm and up.
Will I cause any problem if I use stiffer valve springs than JUN's springs? I know is best to use JUN's springs. For someone who broke the cams, what cams/springs did you use?? Then we can learn from each others.

i'm runnin these cams right now and i agree with leadfoot that it would be pointless to run those cams to 8200, other than the fact your springs would bind, but the cams don't make their power until 8000 range and the r cams have better mid so stick with them until you get all the valvetrain and i have had some guys runnin portlow valvetrain but not with itr inner's. my advice is do it right the first time and you'll save a lot of hassel and money
If he wants to do it let him do it, i'm sure we will hear feedback from him, the thread will be called something allong these lines" Jun cams broke my engine!!!
" We have seen it before. I have the Portflow inner and itr outer springs but I'm only using CTR cams, the added spring pressure is not a prob, but coil bind is scary just thinking about it. I got CTR cams because itr springs bind at 12mm of lift, I wanted jun2 cams but I didn't get them mostly because of coil bind, also if your head is not ported and your compression is low(10's) the cams wont be working to their full potential.
Edit: The ITR outer and PortFlow inner springs is a good enough setup for 12mm of lift, the C-Speed Integra project and some others are using it with big cams and they work well, but of curse nether C-speed nor me are accountable for **** gone wrong.
