Jun stage 2 camshaft kit.
$1800 for the kit including the cam gears. $500 for the head. $1500 for port and polish and installing the kit. Is that a good deal? How do I know if the techs know how to tune these? Any questions I should ask these techs to see if they know what they are doing or if they can tune?
So "the kit" includes: Both cams, dual valve springs, and titanium retainers, then also the cam gears. Generally, Cam gears are $300, Valvetrain (JUN) is just under $400, cams (new) are usuailly around $1000. What kind of Port/Polish are they talking about? Don't spend that money if they're just winging it by using a dremmel. Check to see that they have a bench flow tester and are doing a more-precision job than using a rotary tool. Portflow charges somewhere in the $900 range, check http://www.portflow.com/ Make sure they're readjusting your valves after the install too.
