Default changed my mind abouit the zc

Up untill yesterday i was set on getting a zc engine for my car. But i decided not to. Even after saving up all the $$. Cause there is know one i trust working on my car around here. and everyone i have talked to said they had a lot of trouble getting there zc to run right (wiring probloms)
So what i am going to do with the money is durn my 1.6 sohc engine into a monster. i plan to bore it out, put in new pistons, rings, valves, springs, and cam. Then put on some nice bolt ons. Like a fuel rail, injectors, cam gear. headers.
With that stuff i should get just as much power that i would get with a zc.
How much of an overbore should i go on my cylinders??
any of you guys have an estimenton what it would cost for just, an over bore, new pistons, rings, valves, springs, and a cam. My budget is about $1500

You're gonna need more than $1500. That just might cover a port and polsish at some shops.

Why not juice it? 55 shot?

You might be able to get a Gude Head Package. http://www.ardperformance.com

I'd save a little more and try to do it all at once IMO.

If you have a crx si then you should just buy a y7 head. It will raise compression and it has 1mm bigger valves on both sides. It fits the everything on the engine perfectly. There will be no down time, and you'll be impressed with the results. Buy one of those heads, a cam, and cam gear. You should have more than enough.

Great, use pistons from an a1 or zc. 1st gen integ 86-89. You'll have even higher compression.
