Jun Cams VS Skunk2 Cams
Its an unfair comparison!
Skunk2 stage 2 VS. Jun stage 3's are close in specs.
I have a set of skunk2 stage 1's and 3's but would get the Jun's if the money was right.

well the only midrange cams i know of are the ctr and ITR. skunk2 stage 1-3 are high rpm performance cams, same with jsut aout any other manufacturer out there unless their specs are very close to the 2001 itr/ctr cams. you need to go to Team-Integra.net sign up and read the countless articles they have saved on cams and compression and setup for the engines and . . . cams are a lil more diffcult to work with than most people realize. its not a staright bolt in and away ya go. you need teh proer compression then you need the right timing and the proper fuel/air ratio then you need. . . well you get the idea.
First off skunk cams do not suck, when you say one manufacturer is better than another just by name that isn't very smart. The cam that is the best is what works for your set up, skunk makes cams for a fraction of the price of toda and make a couple diffrent profiles that work well with certain set up. I know alot of people running skunks, toda, and jun (I had jun 3 now I run skunk 3). From numbers I've personally seen on the dyno Toda (B&C) where both below JUN 3, haven't dynoed skunk stage 2's but my skunk 3's are in my car cause for my set up I made the most power with them(over JUN). Toda D's look good but have never even seen them in action. It's all about set up and money, Toda $900&up, Jun 900, got my skunks for 600.
your kidding, right?..IMO skunk cams suck, Jun 3's are better, but then again IMO Toda is better then Jun, so its a endless cycle
I think that JUN 3's are not comparible to the Skunk stage 1's because they were made for different purposes (i.e., Skunk stage 1 are C.A.R.B. legal and very close to stock ITR cam profile and JUN 3's require higher compression to maximize potential and are not C.A.R.B. legal designed for more track and less street)

Skunk
I am going by experience, its not liek im favoring JUN because of the name, so i dunno where u get that idea from, i still do not liek skunk cams
I rather have JUN cams over Shunk cams
I doubt it'd be skunk stg1s however as the original comparison suggested.
Skunk cams suck based on what. There are H-T members making 200whp with Skunk stage 1's and stock compression in a B18C5. How much power/$ spent have you made?
Would the brand really matter? I mean you gotta go with what's higher quality, but aren't the specs of the cams what's really important? I would go for the cams that would give more power have better durability, not because of the brand.
Here's where the problem lies. Some of the important specs are not listed, ramp rates for instance. I have yet to ever see this quantified for any of the top performing cams. As far as durability goes, it's always hard to say. For instance when I hear about xyz cam breaking the first question has to be who installed it? Did they do it right? Would they admit it if they made a careless error? I like cams made by Jun, Toda, Skunk2, and Crower, I think they all make great cams. Two of those companies price gouge IMO however. Too many people don't do all the research required for high lift long duration cams and end up being disapointed.

True but if they spent all that time & money and couldn't even be bothered to check for clearance before starting the motor then...well I wouldn't say they deserve it exactly, but they really have noone to blame but themselves.

Well aside from the perception that Jun is better simply because they cost more than skunk2, I've seen some really impressive charts with Jun3 cams. Admittedly my experience with Skunk2 cams is limited, but I was set to go with them b4 I got a really great deal on my Crowers. Skunk2 is
in my book, just for keeping the cost reasonable.
