Default JUN cams dyno Vid

First I'll say that the JUN III cams are the best ever! Untuned I rolled a 157.6hp/106.0tq in a STOCK B16. That is to say the bottom end and head were stock, with the exception of JUN valvetrain as required. After tuning- only FPR and cam gears at this time- I rolled 162.3hp/107.3tq. VTEC comes on at 5800, and it was fun to watch everyone jump a bit when it hit... This was mainly for fun as I have a whole new motor in the works and I didn't want to spend too much time on this one. There was a completely stock B16 on the dyno that rolled 130hp/102tq so as you can see the HP increased signifigantly but the torque did not. I can post a dyno chart if you want as well... here's the vid.

Thanks We Todd!!! please right click save as- approx DL 14.3MB
*edit-added hp/tq and AF graphs*

I know my VTEC is not in the best place, but that's ok... this was just to PROVE that JUN cams will make the "claimed" HP they put in their ads.

does this motor have basic bolt on upgrades? My friend John has a stock Si with comptech header and exhaust with an AEM and CTR intake cam and makes about 155/115 @ 17-18BTDC with no fuel tuning what-soever.... dont you think JUN3s are too much for stock CR? not knocking on it... 32whp increase if everything else is bone stock is freakin sick...

These runs are on 12 deg timing and limited fuel tuning.

With tuning I see at least 10 more whp at peak....more compression would help obviously with the torque and making more power up top but given how rich it is in the last 2K there is definetly more power hiding in those cams....

The sound alone lets you know these are serious cams....god damn they make the motor LOUD....especially in a dyno shop!

Wish my motor could spin to 9100 right now....I would be well over 200whp fO sHiZzY!

Get that Hondata humming and there is tons of power to find from idle to redline.

JUN More compression More compression More compression....180+ whp B16 lol

Oh and for the guy in florida.....these runs are at close to 3000ft with hardly any correction.....chances are the numbers are low by about 5-10hp...I will test this next week when I dyno my car in Cali without any changes...173.4 in Idaho I see 185+ in Cali....(crosses fingers)

i prefer JUN killers, i think a smaller cam lift would make more power on your app.
157 WHP is weak for cams of that nature
my stock b16a sir2 with bolt ons no internals put 159 WHP and 115 TQ

I'm running a JUN header, JUN TI can, JDM cat, ACT clutch, un-tuned Hondata, Comptech Ice box, JUN Ultralight Flywheel. Like Serg said this is UNCORRECTED HP!!! So if you correct it, we should be about 172 or so.... Oh and the car is GUTTED!!! power to weight ratio is very nice!

i think those cams are to big for a 1.6, maybe if you had a 1.8 they would make alot more power. you drag firebird at all?

it all depends but both cams would do nicely on a high compression ls/vtec, or some EF-1 "JUN killers" would work wonders

Actually, Tim you know who I am. No I don't go to Firebird, I run SCCA. I have a new motor that will compliment the cams nicely, just have to finish it.

If the link isn't working... give it a while and then try again. We Todd goes down sometimes
