Default jumping the starter

can i run a jumper wire from the battery terminal on the starter to the other terminal on the starters solenoid???

i know every body says run a jumper from the battery post to the terminal on the starters solenoid....but my battery is in my trunk and i don't have a wire that long???

yes, your idea will work. the wire on the starter is directly connected to the battery, so its pretty much the same as connecting it to the terminal on the battery
