Default Jeep Trouble

About a week ago, my mom began to complain about her car having trouble starting up. Also complaining of her oil gauge was fluctuating, drastically. So, when she got hom, i checked the oil, it was at a safe level. I noticed her coolant was very very low. So we ran down to the store a purchased some engine coolant(Prestone), I then filled the car to a safe level. The car ran great after this, but I really didnt know if that solved the problem. So, my mom comes home today and tells me it is doing it again...so I check it out....oil level, safe...coolant level, safe...I am out of answers, and seeing how I am not much of an engine expert, I need your help! BTW..it is a 97' Jeep Cherokee Laredo, thanx for any and all help guys!

$300? i double checked... starter is $60 w/ a lifetime warranty, and labor is .8 hours... so round it to an hour of EXPENSIVE labor and your at $150... That was some EXPENSIVE KY they used...

Reason i remembered is b/c my girl's dad did one a few days ago... sorry...
